The Puyol Family

In 1975, Orlando—a college athlete at the University of Florida—met Susana “Susie,” an aspiring model from Miami, at a friend’s wedding. Sparks flew, and they danced the night away. Captivated, Orlando asked to stay in touch, and Susie, charmed by her knight in a shiny black tux, said yes.

They quickly discovered much in common: both had fled Cuba with their families in 1960, were raised in Miami, grounded in Catholic faith, and shared a deep love for family and community—forming a bond that felt both familiar and unshakable.

A year later, Orlando proposed. Susie accepted, and they began their life together in Gainesville, Florida, where he completed his engineering degree. That initial spark grew into a strong and enduring marriage.

Today, Orlando and Susie remain happily married, proud parents of three grown children and grandparents to eight. Their eldest, Eddy—married to Corinne—leads Puyol Enterprise and founded Soul Deep Ministries. Their daughter, Sofia—married to Chris—holds a business degree from Flagler College and serves as Director of Gardens Learning Center. Their youngest, Bobby—married to Aubrey—played football at the University of Connecticut, earned a degree in Business Management, and now serves as Director of Stewardship at Christ Fellowship.

For over 30 years, the Puyol family has owned and operated Gardens Learning Center, offering children in northern Palm Beach County a strong educational foundation shaped by Christian values. Their influence reaches beyond the classroom—touching lives, strengthening families, and reflecting the love of Jesus in all they do.

Theirs is a story of faith and love—still unfolding, and still impacting lives every day.
